A week after reports surfaced that Odell Beckham Jr. has told teams during games he wants out to Cleveland, new reports show that Jarvis Landry and others also want to leave the Cleveland Browns.

It didn’t take long after the embarrassing performance put up against the Arizona Cardinals for the drama to hit the Cleveland Browns.

Only a week after reports came out that Odell Beckham Jr. has been telling teams all season that he wants to leave Cleveland, telling teams to “come get me,” it appears several teammates have jumped on that train as well.

According to Mike Silver, Jarvis Landry was one of several Browns players that shouted the same message of “come get me” to the Cardinals sideline on Sunday.

While the other players are not mentioned, having these reports come out about two of your team “leaders” is not a good look. Both of these players were acquired not only for their talent, but to bring some sort of calming presence to the locker room.

With a young quarterback like Baker Mayfield, and a younger team all around, you need guys that have been in the league and understand what to do and say.

The big issue for the Browns, however, is that neither Jarvis Landry or Odell Beckham Jr. have had sustained success or been in big situations to help this team when they get to those points. While both are excellent playmakers, their true leadership skills are questionable.

Jarvis Landry forced his way out of Miami, where he wasn’t exactly a role model leader, and while Odell Beckham didn’t necessarily ask for a trade, his drama and acting out on the sidelines in New York aren’t what you see from a true team leader.

It remains to be seen what comes from this report, and how the Browns and Landry defend it.

It’s hard to see any way to truly come out of this situation in a good light for Landry, but as the season comes to an end, and a coaching change seems inevitable, Browns fans can only hope that a new coaching staff can bring stability and structure to an organization that appears to be falling into the ways of old – never-ending drama and distractions.
