The Cleveland Browns have nothing but the future to look forward to now, as they turn their focus to the future in this 7-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

Following another abysmal performance against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday – one where the Cleveland Browns look to have totally quit on their coaching staff and fellow teammates – the writing is on the wall for Freddie Kitchens.

While most first-year coaches get a pass, his inability to adapt and learn from his mistakes will be his demise and lead to his dismissal following this season.

While Browns fans begrudgingly look towards the next potential hire and ensuing mockery to come from the media with the firing of Kitchens, citing them as the “same old Browns,” the future does look bright with the right hire.

John Dorsey has done a good job of turning around the roster and getting talented players all around, be it trading for Odell Beckham Jr, signing Sheldon Richardson, or drafting Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb. The biggest acquisition in his tenure as the Browns general manager, however, will be his upcoming hire of a new head coach to replace Freddie Kitchens.

That coach and his staff will need to be aggressive in free agency to fill the holes on the roster, but also look to attack in the 2020 NFL Draft and acquire young talent that can potentially help this team for the next decade or longer. Not only will they look for players that can contribute right away, but also look to build depth, something that has hurt the Browns in 2019 with the number of injuries to players expected to be key contributors.

Let’s take a look at the Week 16 edition of the 2020 NFL Mock Draft for the Cleveland Browns.
