The tight end position for the Cleveland Browns is an interesting one. The Browns do have two talented players on their roster in Ricky Seals-Jones and David Njoku. However, with Seals-Jones becoming a free agent after this season and the injury concerns for Njoku, the Browns may want to look at the back end of the draft to find someone to develop at that position.

With their sixth-round pick, Dorsey and the Browns look out west and draft Colby Parkinson out of Stanford. Parkinson is a very large man at 6-foot-7 and 251 pounds and uses that size to his advantage when blocking. While his height can be used against him at times by defenders not letting him create a good push, he is still strong enough to set the edge and hold the blocks when needed.

Parkinson can do more than just block though, as he can also set up outside on passing situations. He’s faster than one might expect for as tall as he is, and uses his height to his advantage in the red zone and key third downs.

Draft Network’s Benjamin Solak praises Parkinson’s athleticism in the passing game:

"“Effective adjusting to the football in the air and excels on seam/nine balls that ask him to work to the back shoulder and take on hits from defenders. Flashes similar traits on red zone fade opportunities and generally impresses with his full extension catches.” — Solak"

With the question marks surrounding the future of Njoku beyond 2020, and the questions remaining of him being healthy for a full season, Colby Parkinson is an excellent selection here as the 2020 NFL Draft starts to wind down.
