1. Denzel Ward, Cornerback

Second-year cornerback Denzel Ward is going to have a major impact in this game whether it be good or bad. Ward, who was named a Prow Bowl alternate, is going to need to be able to defend the run and make tackles in this game.

There are not many players on the defensive side of the ball that have the speed to keep up with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Ward is one of them. When Jackson runs to his side of the field, Ward is going to need to be able to keep pace and make the tackles when opportunities present themselves.

Not only will Ward have to play the run well, but he is also going to have to keep his man locked down in coverage. More than likely Ward will be matched up on Marquise Brown who is having a good rookie season for the Ravens. With 563 yards and seven scores on the season, Brown has turned into Lamar Jackson’s favorite wide receiver target — and has the speed to burn a defense if not paid attention to.

If Denzel Ward has a good game making tackles on the outside, knocking down passes and is penalty-free, the Browns should have a good chance at pulling off the upset.
