3 Former Cleveland Browns players fans would love to see play one more time

With Marshawn Lynch returning to Seattle for the playoffs, we look at three players that Cleveland Browns fans would like to see suit up once more
The Seattle Seahawks made some news this week as they brought back former All-Pro running back Marshawn Lynch. After suffering a myriad of injuries at the position, they were able to bring back their former star player who now makes his second return to the NFL.
With the Seahawks getting to enjoy a little nostalgia, it seems as though it would be fun for the rest of the NFL to get to see some of their former stars come back for one final run. And for the Cleveland Browns, there could be a lot of players who would be welcomed back to this roster.
For the sake of this piece, we will look at three players who could have a decent shot of returning — meaning we won’t be pining for 83-year old Jim Brown to suit up. Bringing these players back in their prime to this roster would be for another day.
With that being said, here are the former Browns players who fans would welcome with open arms if they walked back into Berea for practice this week.
Notable Omissions: Alex Mack Joe Haden, Phil Dawson
Surely, any of the three players mentioned above would be welcomed back. In fact, fans were openly asking for a Phil Dawson reunion following their kicking woes last season, and the 44-year old did re-sign with them this season — kind of.
Dawson was brought back for the ceremonial retirement with his team. Dawson was still solid until the end and while he might not drill it from 60-yards out, he could still routinely knock it in from 45-or less.
As for Alex Mack and Joe Haden, each would be great on this roster. The problem is, they’re still in the NFL and playing for other teams. Now, if they were free agents in the offseason, that could change.
