The Cleveland Browns could be in the market for another head coach after Freddie Kitchens’ struggles, so who are the top potential candidates?

The Cleveland Browns struggles in 2019 have put head coach Freddie Kitchens right onto the hot seat, despite being in his first season as the lead man. With all of the expectations the Browns had entering the season, something will have to happen in the offseason with all of the problems they’ve had.

The one change many believe would fix Cleveland’s issues is by replacing Kitchens. Kitchens has looked over his head as the head coach. He has continued problems with game management situations, but has also struggled with play-calling.

Browns management reportedly plans on keeping Kitchens for the long-term, unless a “horrific collapse or circumstance” occurred to end the season. After losing the last two games, there is a chance the collapse could be happening.

However, there are still signs pointing to the Browns giving Kitchens another year. The final game of the season will likely be the deciding factor, especially if the Browns come out flat against the Cincinnati Bengals, who just clinched the worst record in the NFL this season.

If the Browns do decide to move on from Kitchens, there is a strong top group of candidates available. Especially if the Browns are looking for veteran coaches to lead instead of a first-time head coach.

The Browns roster might be better suited to have a veteran NFL head coach who knows how to manage a locker room and has experience dealing with several game management situations. But they could also look for someone who has experience as a head coach in general. With that said, here is a look at the top potential candidates for the Browns if they replace Freddie Kitchens.
