Cleveland Browns: Potential head coach candidates no one is talking about

Dan Campbell, Saints assistant head coach
Currently, Dan Campbell serves as the tight ends coach and assistant head coach of the New Orleans Saints. He’s becoming a hot name in the coaching world as he’s a former player who gained some excellent experience on the Saints’ impressive offense.
While he’s currently an assistant, Campbell does have a small sample size as a head coach, serving as the interim for the Miami Dolphins in 2015. That season, he was 5-7 as the coach and many of the players wanted him to come back on board.
That ended up not happening and Campbell took on a job with the Saints. There, he reunited with Sean Payton who was an offensive coordinator for Campbell while he was an NFL tight end in Dallas. He was also Campbell’s head coach during his final season in the NFL.
Campbell has the perfect blend of toughness and offensive innovation under his belt. He’s also been part of an offense that understands how to move the ball through the air while not abandoning the run.
He could be a hard sell for John Dorsey who knows he needs to get this hire right — assuming he has to make one that is. Team owner Jimmy Haslam has never been overly patient so two mistakes at head coach could be costly.
For that reason, Campbell and his lack of experience could be an issue.
