Game: Cleveland Browns (6-9) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-14)

Summary: Both the Browns and the Bengals enter week 17 with nothing to play for but pride. With last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins the Bengals secured the worst record in the NFL and the Browns were officially eliminated from playoff contention when the lost to the Baltimore Ravens.

Not only by record but statically the Bengals have been the worst team all season, ranking last in several categories including points per game. Their defense has a lot of holes and they have been exposed by how much they have had to play due to offense’s inability to do much of anything.

The offensive line is a tragedy and they have not been able to open up any holes for Joe Mixon which is causing people to question his ability. They have also been without superstar wide receiver A.J. Green who has been dealing with an injury and seems to have one foot out the door as his contract expires at seasons-end.

Cleveland has been surrounded by headlines this season and usually not for how they play on the field. They remind you of a middle school class with a substitute teacher, everybody is doing what they want because the person that is supposed to be in charge isn’t.

Even with all of the issues Freddie Kitchens still has a slim chance at saving his job but the Browns have to play well. They have looked unmotivated the last two weeks against the Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals when they still had a chance to sneak in the playoffs. That is an indictment on the head coach who is supposed to have his team ready to play every week.

This week Cleveland needs to feed the ball to Nick Chubb because honestly, the Bengals don’t have anybody up front who can slow him down. Use the set up the pass instead of trying to force the ball to Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. just to keep them happy.

Potential coach candidates no one's talking about. dark. Next

Kitchens may be coaching for his future in this game so he needs to worry about winning over all else. It will not be easy, Cincinnati played a good game last week and they know they have nothing to lose.

Prediction: Cleveland Browns 28 Cincinnati Bengals 17
