The Cleveland Browns are doing their due diligence in their latest coaching search. With nearly a week’s worth of interviews, these seem to be the top 3 candidates — at the moment

Once again, the Cleveland Browns are in the middle of a coaching search as Freddie Kitchens didn’t survive past his rookie season with the team. While Cleveland took a PR hit for moving on so quickly, it seemed to be the right move.

Kitchens looked lost on the sideline and as reports come out, it seems as though we only knew half of what that team really had going on. And while pretty much everyone saw that firing coming, the “mutual parting” between the Browns and general manager John Dorsey was not expected.

With him out, the Browns are moving forward with their interviews and have quite a list going of people they would like to coach and those with who they already have met.

It’s sure to change as the news comes through, but right now, these three names seem to be the most likely to get the job.

On the Cusp: Greg Roman, Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator

The Browns would like someone who can work with quarterback Baker Mayfield and right now, the hottest quarterback guru in the NFL is Greg Roman of the Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland saw first hand how well Roman has done tailoring his offense to the strengths of quarterback Lamar Jackson — while minimizing his weaknesses.

Cleveland has met with Roman, who is preparing for the playoffs right now, but it doesn’t feel like this one is in the top-3 — although he probably should be. Not only is he a great play-caller, but it would weaken one of their biggest opponents as Baltimore would have a tough time trying to replace him.
