The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of a coaching search but we look ahead to see what the five biggest needs for the roster are heading into the offseason

Even though the Cleveland Browns finished the 2019 season 6-10, there are still plenty of reasons to be excited about the future. Yes, they seem to have blown things up once again as they fired head coach Freddie Kitchens and parted with general manager John Dorsey, but it doesn’t feel the way other firings have.

In the past, it was more of an impatience thing where coaches weren’t given the time to show they could build a winner. This time, it was clear Kitchens was in over his head and it wasn’t as if he showed signs of progress.

He had the talent on the team but it felt like the coaching staff was what held them back. For that reason, there’s not a sense of desperation right now in Cleveland. Sure, they want to get things figured out in their front office, but it doesn’t feel like they’re 3-5 years away.

That also doesn’t mean they don’t have a few holes to fill, because they do. Thankfully, some of the most important positions are figured out. Cleveland has their starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield, who struggled in his second season but has shown he can get it done.

They also have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Nick Chubb, two star receivers in Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry as well as defensive stars such as Myles Garrett and Joe Schobert — who they need to hurry and re-sign.

With all that being said, we look to the areas the Browns need to work on this offseason with their five biggest holes on the roster.
