3 players still in playoffs Cleveland Browns should target in free agency
The Cleveland Browns were considered to have one of the best rosters coming into the season but now there are some clear holes. Here are some free agents playing this weekend that could potentially be in Cleveland next season.
Last offseason was magical for Cleveland Browns fans. They saw their team be aggressive in acquiring talent behind former general manager John Dorsey and it paid off to an extent. They only won six games, but they still have a roster full of capable players.
Along with the drama in the front office and in the locker room, this team was limited by their deficiencies in the secondary and along the offensive line, just to name a few.
The NFL is different from the NBA, where there is only a couple of big free agents every year. In the NFL there is a long list of quality free agents every year,. This year is no exception with players like A.J. Green, Philip Rivers and Chris Harris Jr. But for the purpose of this piece, we are only going to focus on free agents whose teams are still in the playoffs.
Bringing in players that have been apart of winning cultures can’t be overstated and there is not a lot of players in Browns locker room like that right now.
There is one honorable mention on this list: Jadeveon Clowney. It is very likely that he re-signs with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason because of the haul of assets they traded to get him.
It is also important to note that all of the players on this list are unrestricted free agents, meaning that their current team has no control over them once they reach free agency.
Here are a couple of players to keep an eye on as you are watching playoff games this weekend!
