After hiring Kevin Stefanski as head coach, it looks as though the Cleveland Browns are adding Andrew Berry as their next general manager

It looks as though the Cleveland Browns are about to finalize their front office. After hiring Kevin Stefanski as their head coach on Sunday, rumors are swirling that they will now be adding Andrew Berry as the general manager.

Berry, who is currently the vice president of football operations for the Philadelphia Eagles comes in with an impressive resume and was previously in the Browns front office.

A Harvard grad, and former player at the Ivy league school, was with the team as vice president of player personnel from 2016 through 2018. He now looks ready to come back to the team as Ed Kracz, who follows the Eagles for SI.com’s Maven channel is hearing that Berry is on the way out.

There has yet to be an official announcement from the team but it wouldn’t be surprising to see this move finalized quickly. There were already rumors that if Stefanski was indeed the coach, the Browns would move quickly to pair him with Berry.

This alignment was due to the fact that current strategy officer Paul DePodesta was high on Berry as a general manager and that he also wanted to hire Stefanski last season but lost out to John Dorsey, who wanted to keep Freddie Kitchens.

Next. Browns need to be right about Stefanski. dark

Stefanski earning the job proves that DePodesta is the one making the final decisions which is why Berry is presumed to be coming in next.
