The Cleveland Browns have recently hired their new head coach for the future. As the draft season comes closer, the team needs to focus on how to re-tool the roster and make a run for the playoffs. Here are some players they could draft to do just that.

This 2020 NFL Draft is hopefully going to be a retool and not a rebuild — and it seems as though the Cleveland Browns staff believes this as well.

The Browns currently have a great core group of offensive and defensive talent that should not, under any circumstances, be broken apart. Most, besides linebacker Joe Schobert and free safety Damarious Randall, are under contract for next season, which is a huge plus for the Browns.

It seems unlikely that the team will be bringing both Schobert and Randall back, so the team will likely have to find a replacement for at least one of them. A betting person would surely say Randall is gone as he struggled down the stretch and he seemed like someone who may have checked out.

In this 7-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft, I’ve recognized the Browns biggest needs as offensive tackle, safety, tight end, and then just overall depth.

I hope that the Cleveland Browns decide to not draft as much off of need this year as they do by drafting the BPA (the best player available) after addressing at least one offensive tackle.

With all that being said, let’s get into looking at who the Browns could potentially draft in April as they try and build a winning roster for new coach Kevin Stefanski.
