Jedrick Wills, Jr. would be the ideal pick for the Cleveland Browns in the 1st round. Listed at a 6-foot-5 and 320lbs, he is an absolute animal at the right tackle position. He started 28 games at Alabama, all at right tackle, as he was a starter for his Sophomore and Junior seasons.

Wills was a Third-Team All-American according to Pro Football Focus, and was First-Team All-SEC this past season. When I turned on Alabama’s tape this season, Jedrick Wills always stood out as a dominating force for the Crimson Tide’s offensive line.

Wills is great in pass protection and is a very technical player, although he may not be the best athlete on the offensive line. He is certainly NFL ready in my opinion and would be the day one starter for the Cleveland Browns at right tackle.

Chris Hubbard has had a lackluster tenure as the Browns right tackle, and drafting Wills would allow the team to either release Hubbard and save some much-needed cap space, or move Hubbard to right guard and test out his talents there.

I think the latter would be an interesting experiment.

Personally, I think that Jedrick Wills, Jr. is the top offensive tackle in this year’s draft and will be an instant success for whatever team drafts him. If you want a more in depth analysis of his draft profile, I suggest looking at thedraftnetwork.com’s analysis of his draft profile here.

They list his NFL comparison as future hall of fame offensive tackle Jason Peters. Drafting the next Jason Peters would be pretty beneficial to this Browns franchise.
