Mitchell Schwartz, Tackle, Kansas City Chiefs

This is one that still stings. During his time with the Browns, Mitchell Schwartz was a Pro Bowl level player on a very strong offensive line that included first ballot hall-of-famer Joe Thomas as well as  Joel Bitonio, Alex Mack, and John Greco.

He never missed a snap with the Browns and was consistently ranked in Pro Football Focus’s seasonal All-Pro picks. At one point, Cleveland had two consecutive snap streak leaders on their offensive line, which is a thought that hurts even more after the 2019 nightmare.

Schwartz was a second-round pick out of Cal, which meant he was only locked down for four years. His contract ended right at the beginning of the divisive Sashi Brown era, who saw a potential re-signing to be too expensive and let him walk.

Since then, Schwartz has maintained his high level of play for the explosive Kansas City Chiefs and continued his iron man streak until a knee injury knocked him out of a November game against the Titans for 3 snaps.

Still, Schwartz has managed to start 128 straight games, not including playoffs and is looking to make the most important start of his life in February if the Chiefs can win this weekend.
