Honorable Mentions

Mike Remmers played right tackle for the New York Giants. He has had his fair share of ups and downs during his career. He also recently turned 30, which means he could start his decline at any time.

More from Browns News

At what cost do you a weigh a veteran player who might start to decline but can still teach the youth around him? A good locker room guy can be invaluable to a new coach and a young team overall trying to find their footing in a very competitive NFL.

I would look to consider Remmers if the Browns decide to cut some of their existing backups, why not?  Shoot, even use him as a camp body.

George Fant played left tackle for Seattle last season. Only 27 years old. Just starting to really find a level of comfort and understanding in the NFL.

Bring him in, use him as a camp body, let him soak up reps and learn behind your starting left tackle and he could potentially prosper into a lucky catch.

Again, why not? Fant has been in the NFL for a little while now and can at least teach some of the new guys little things. He could be an asset but would probably be more of a project to try and grow behind your starter.
