The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including an article that digs deeper into new general manager Andrew Berry

The Cleveland Browns finally have a general manager. It took far too long but in the end, they hired the guy we all thought they were gonna hire back when they named Kevin Stefanski the new head coach.

Still, they continued to explore options and Goerge Paton even looked to be the guy at one point. But then they circled back around to Berry, who has a history with Cleveland.

But beyond that, we know very little about the youngest head coach in the NFL. In today’s Daily Dawg Tags, we look at one article that tries to let us learn a little more about who is and how his resume looks.

Who is new Browns GM Andrew Berry? — Jake Trotter, ESPN

"“Owner Jimmy Haslam wanted to hire a general manager who was on the same page with chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta and had the blessing of new head coach Kevin Stefanski. Vikings assistant general manager George Paton, who worked with Stefanski in Minnesota, fit that bill. But when Paton pulled out of the running late last week, Berry was the only other serious candidate who seemed to make sense. Berry, 32, is the youngest general manager in the league, but is regarded as a rising front-office star.”"

The Browns wanted to pair someone with Kevin Stefanski, but that didn’t work out as Paton wasn’t the guy. In the end, they circled back to Berry which seemed to be the leading candidate for the majority of the offseason.

Kareem Hunt tells police he would’ve failed a drug test last week & it ‘hurts my soul’ he’s not in Super Bowl with Chiefs: Dashcam video — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“Man, I’ve been through a lot,’’ Hunt said to patrolman Michael Asbury while sitting in the back of the cruiser on Interstate 90 near the westbound Hilliard exit in Rocky River. “Officer, I’ve been through a lot.”"

In this video, Hunt says that it ‘hurts his soul’ that he’s not in the Super Bowl with the Chiefs and then has the sad line about how he has been through a lot. It’s rather telling that Hunt still finds himself the victim after so many chances.

Cleveland Browns: Sashi Brown’s “rash of changes” comment hits home

People might not like Sashi Brown and that’s ok. But he wasn’t wrong in his recent comments where he says the new staff needs to be given time, which is something Jimmy Haslam has been unwilling to give.
