The Cleveland Browns make some moves and fill some of their biggest holes on the roster in this trade-projection 2020 NFL mock draft

One of the more exciting things to see taking place during the draft is when a team starts to make moves up and down the draft board. The Cleveland Browns have done their fair share of this in recent years, which led to them having three picks in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and two in the first round of the 2018 draft.

This past season, they were without a pick in the opening round, as they used that to land wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. from the New York Giants. They then jumped up in the second round to snag LSU cornerback Greedy Williams.

This year, it will be hard to predict what will happen. They haven’t traded away any of their prime picks just yet, and do have an extra selection in the third round thanks to their trade with the Houston Texans which sent Duke Johnson to the AFC South club. There are also some new decision-makers in town with John Dorsey and Freddie Kitchens being sent packing and Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski coming over from Minnesota and Philadelphia respectively.

While we don’t have a great idea of what the newest staff might do, we can try and predict things ‚— which we have done in many mock drafts. We do that again here, but with a different twist. This time, we will play general manager and try making a few trades for the Browns.

As a spoiler alert, we don’t jump up the boards here, but instead, try to maximize the picks Cleveland does have in order to fill the holes on this roster.

The following mock was done on The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator, using the trade machine on their TDN Premium service.
