The Cleveland Browns are selecting tenth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. Here are three players that they need to consider in that position.

Andrew Berry has taken over as general manager of the Cleveland Browns and will be responsible for running his first NFL draft come April. Picking 10th overall, Berry and the Browns have a ton of options available to them. A team in desperate need of a quarterback could be looking to trade up with the Browns if a player such as Justin Herbert is still on the board.

But if the Cleveland Browns stay at 10th overall, who will be the selection? Here are three players that the Browns need to consider taking in that spot.

Tristan Wirfs, Iowa Offensive Tackle

Tristan Wirfs has been linked to the Browns by many NFL draft experts and many mock drafts. He is just one of those players where if you don’t over think the pick, he just makes too much sense. Offensive linemen come out of the University of Iowa NFL ready and Wirfs is next in line to be that guy.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Wirfs would come to Cleveland with many accolades. Wirfs was named the Big Ten’s Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year and also a first-team All-Big Ten selection. He also was a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection by the Associated Press. In addition to that, he was named a first-team Walter Camp All-American and a second team All-American by the Associated Press.

The only concern with Wirfs is that he probably would be limited to playing right tackle. That is where he started the majority of his college games, as he started nine games in that spot a season ago. However, even at right tackle Wirfs has the skill and footwork necessary to be one of the best in the business.

The NFL Draft Network loves his potential and rates him as their No. 1 offensive tackle prospect, saying:

"Phenomenal talent. He’s got grace and nimble feet despite his looming stature — making him a prototypical NFL offensive tackle prospect. He’s got a great presence about him in both pass sets and run blocking, very effective in physically dominating the opposition regardless of what direction he’s tasked with going. Impressive reach, incredible strength and a dynamic lower half, which allows him to continue to apply force to bodies and sustain momentum as he’s working in space. His hip hinge is clean in his pass sets — allowing for even cadenced steps and calm, controlled effort to square up rushers on the edge. – thedraftnetwork.com"

Wirfs sure seems like a safe pick at tenth overall, and someone the Browns need to consider selecting in that spot.
