4. KhaDarel Hodge, Wide Receiver

The Browns wide receiving corps looked scary heading into 2019 with Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham, Jr., Rashard Higgins, and Antonio Callaway all on the same roster. At first, it seemed as though there wasn’t going to be enough touches to go around, but then the roster started to thin out.

First, Callaway was suspended to start the season and later was hit with another ban. He was subsequently released and is now in the XFL.

Higgins wasn’t able to take advantage of Callaway being gone and after a strong showing in OTAs and training camp, he all but disappeared. That left Cleveland with Beckham, Landry, and a mixture of young players such as KhaDarel Hodge and Damion Ratley.

Hodge, an undrafted product from Prairie View A&M, spent 2018 with the Rams before joining Cleveland this past season. He ended up with just four receptions on the year but he did flash some speed, gaining 19 yards per grab.

Clearly, the Browns want to add more talent to the receiving corps but Hodge is still a player to watch. He pushed Ratley for playing time which is impressive as that staff was high on Ratley. Should Hodge continue to be a deep threat, there’s a chance he could break out in 2020, which would be great for this offense.
