The Cleveland Browns have several needs in this upcoming draft. With only seven picks in the draft, it will be difficult to address them all without dipping into free agency. Here’s a look at some realistic options that the Browns could wind up with.

With the NFL draft only two months away, teams are scrambling to build their draft boards and evaluate the talent in this upcoming draft class. The Cleveland Browns are no exception to this, as they will be entering the draft with a new general manager in Andrew Berry. With seven picks in the upcoming draft, including the 10th overall pick, the Browns have a great opportunity to fill some holes on their roster and make a push for the playoffs next season.

The Browns have yet to re-sign any key members from last season that are upcoming free agents. Joe Schobert and Damarious Randall are two key pieces whose futures seem up in the air in Cleveland. I expect Schobert to be brought back, especially since Andrew Berry was a part of the Browns regime that brought him into Cleveland in the first place. Damarious Randall is likely gone, so that opens up free safety as a hole for the Cleveland Browns.

Even with the talented roster that Cleveland currently has, that adds to a list of holes the team needs to fill this offseason. Left and right tackle remain the largest holes, and free safety probably following closely behind. Then comes the hole at right guard, strong safety, and the third wide receiver spot, since Rashard Higgins is likely on his way out of Cleveland. After that, the Browns will need to address defensive line depth, both edge and interior, and linebacker depth.

The only spots on this Browns roster I could not see being addressed in this draft would be quarterback and running back. Every other position could see some new faces in the building, albeit they will almost certainly not be drafting a cornerback or a wide receiver high in the draft.  With all that being said, let’s take a look at who they could possibly be taking in this upcoming draft.
