The Cleveland Browns have a very talented roster, but with some holes. Here’s how each Browns position group grades before free agency and draft.

Heading into the heart of the 2020 offseason, the Cleveland Browns are looking to add a few key pieces to complete their roster. Last offseason, the Browns made several splashes to boost their talent. There were high hopes heading into the season because of their newly constructed unit.

Odell Beckham Jr. was acquired in a trade with the New York Giants, as well as Olivier Vernon. They were both expected to make their position groups one of the best in the league by joining Jarvis Landry at receiver and Myles Garrett at defensive line respectively.

Cleveland also added Kareem Hunt as a free agent after he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs. He certainly added to the star power in the Cleveland backfield.

Greedy Williams was added in the NFL draft and played opposite Denzel Ward at cornerback. He was a hyped player coming out of college from LSU.

Other role players were added to the Browns roster as well to help with depth. Despite what appeared to be a great collection of talent on paper, the Browns went on to have another losing season at 6-10.

The Browns still have an immensely talented roster, and hope that a new regime in the front office and a new group of coaches can bring the right culture and scheme to give their team the best chance to succeed.

Before free agency and the NFL draft, the Browns roster grades fairly well by position group.
