Round 2, Pick 41: Austin Jackson, Offense tackle, USC

With the Browns second pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the select yet another tackle, Austin Jackson from USC. Jackson played left tackle in college, but he comes to the Browns and fills the right tackle position, opposite of new teammate Becton.

Jackson has very quick feet and opens his hips well to pass-protect. His feet stay active and help him change directions well. He is also very violent and aggressive on contact but just needs to make sure he does not lunge.

He shows good balance and use of hands. He is an experienced player, as he played special teams as a freshman and started for the Trojans since his sophomore year.

Again, this is another pick for the Browns to get an established offensive lineman to solidify the unit. The line gets much better through the first two rounds with Becton and Jackson.

Sure, there are other very talented players at different positions that Cleveland could choose – and they may do so – but this gives them immediate help at the biggest need of improvement.

This would be an incredible start to the draft and ultimately a great start to the year. The offense is just a few linemen away from exploding. The Browns found their solution.
