5. Cory Littleton, Los Angeles Rams

He may not be a household name yet but Cory Littleton is on his way to being one of the best middle linebackers in the NFL. He has shown consistent improvement each year and that was capped by his best year in 2019 recording 134 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two interceptions.

Littleton has long arms which are good for shedding blockers and good speed moving sideline to sideline. He can run with almost any tight end or running back in coverage and rarely leaves the field.

He has a high football IQ, he just seems to know what plays to expect at certain times and he has good eye discipline, he isn’t confused by all of the pre-snap motion that goes on before a play.

Littleton isn’t great at blitzing but has the ability to get sacks by using his speed. That speed occasionally gets him trouble by overrunning the play.

Linebacker is a relatively cheap position to pay but the Los Angeles Rams are very short on cap space thanks to the contracts of Todd Gurley and Jared Goff and they likely will pay Jalen Ramsey who they traded for during this past season.

The Browns, however, do have the cap space to bring in Littleton even if the price is slightly higher than what they would have to give Schobert. There has been no indication of whether the Rams plan on pursuing Littleton but it doesn’t seem likely.

This might be the only player available that would be an upgrade for the Browns at the position.
