With the NFL draft approaching, the Cleveland Browns and fans should get to know these 5 small school prospects that could be chosen in April.

The Cleveland Browns will be bringing seven prospects to their team in April from the 2020 NFL Draft — barring any additions or subtractions via trade. Most mock drafts predict popular players to their teams and tend to stay away from smaller schools. To be fair, the majority of the picks are from powerhouse division one programs.

In each draft though, there are several small school players chosen. Most fans don’t know much about these under the radar prospects, and often times are left clueless when they are selected to their respective teams.

Last year, there were a few small school players who were drafted. A few of these players included Nasir Adderley from Deleware, Khalen Saunders from Western Illinois, Trey Pipkins from Sioux Falls, John Cominsky from Charleston, as well as several others.

There are always going to be diamonds in the rough, and it is up to the personnel team to do their due diligence on these prospects.

While it is unlikely that Cleveland will be taking a small school prospect with any of their first few picks, there is certainly a chance for one of these players to be chosen in the middle to late picks.

If these players stand out greatly from their competition, they are surely going to be on the radar of NFL teams and their front office.

Let’s dive in and get to know some of these highly talented, yet underappreciated prospects that the Cleveland Browns and their fans should be aware of as the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine approaches.
