Last season, Chris Smith faced an unbelievable tragedy. The Cleveland Browns reserve defensive end lost his girlfriend to a tragic accident shortly after the couple welcomed their first child.

Smith was later released by the Browns, a decision they said was incredibly tough to make. Now, Smith is ready to come back after not returning to the field in 2019 following his release.

It’s hard to root for someone more than Smith at this moment. There’s no way to understand how hard last year must have been for him but we can only hope he can get back to doing what he loves.
