Round 2, Pick 41: Austin Jackson, OT, USC

And after taking the best player on the board at No. 10 in Isaiah Simmons, the Browns are back on the clock with the 41st overall pick in Round 2. This time, they do go out and land their next potential starter at left tackle in Austin Jackson.

Recently, there have been connections made between the USC tackle and the Browns. One such person who thinks the two sides are a great fit is Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network.

"“If you want somebody to fit that [new Cleveland] offense, I don’t know that anybody fits it better than him. He’s only 20 years old. He’s got great knee bend. He can really move laterally. He’s going to get better. —  Daniel Jeremiah via Akron Beacon Journal"

Jeremiah seems to believe the Browns will look to add Jackson in the first round but right now it just doesn’t seem as though he should be a top-10 pick. Of course, Jeremiah knows what he’s talking about and is much more connected than I am so there’s a shot Jackson will be long gone by the time Cleveland is back on the clock for their second selection.

If that does end up being the case, they could look to players such as Josh Jones from Houston or Lucas Niang out of TCU. Whoever it is that’s the best tackle on the board here, the Browns have to pull the trigger after making a different move in Round 1.
