Despite only being with the Cleveland Browns for one season, Odell Beckham has continually been involved in trade rumors, and they are not going to stop.

When speaking with the media at the NFL Scouting Combine, Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry tried to end the talk of Odell Beckham Jr. being traded. Berry explained that the organization views Beckham as a part of their future and the team explained their expectations for him.

However, although Berry tried to quell the endless trade talk around Beckham, he kept the door slightly cracked by saying he would listen to trade offers for any of his players if another team comes calling. This does not mean Beckham is on the trade block or the Browns will consider a trade, but Berry will at least pick up the phone if another team comes calling about a potential trade.

For the past several years of his career, trade rumors have constantly swirled around Beckham. Whether it is because Beckham is not happy with his current situation or the team employing Beckham is not happy, it has caused constant talk about Beckham potentially being traded.

After not having the season he was expected to in his first year with the Browns, Beckham has constantly been thrown into trade rumors. And once the new regime took over Cleveland’s front office, the talk about a Beckham trade became even louder.

On Monday, the talk around Beckham has been that the Green Bay Packers should make a deal for the Browns wide receiver. Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky discussed the idea of a Beckham trade on ESPN’s Get Up.

As Cleveland Browns fans have quickly learned, there is going to be consistent trade talk around Beckham, no matter what. Trade rumors have always followed Beckham because he is not afraid to show his frustration, which instantly leads many to believe he is not happy with his situation and is looking for a way out.

With a superstar like Beckham who is not afraid to speak his mind to the media, it is generally believed that any type of negative comments Beckham makes about his current situations means he wants to move on. And with Beckham not afraid of being in the spotlight, it is assumed he would prefer to be in a bigger market than Cleveland.

However, Beckham has stated several times in the past that he is happy in Cleveland and is excited to be a part of the Browns future. He has had nothing but good things to say about Cleveland, and has never hinted that he wants to be traded.

Although he struggled in his first season with the Browns, it does not mean the Browns should be motivated to move him. Beckham has the talent to be one of the best receivers in the NFL, moving a player of that caliber would ultimately hurt the offense and team.

Until Beckham is playing for a consistent winner and is putting together incredible statistical seasons at the same time, Beckham’s name is going to be in trade rumors because it will be assumed he is not happy. The Browns and Beckham may say they are happy with their situation, but the trade talk and rumors are not going to end anytime soon.
