With the recent news of the Eagles letting Jason Peters enter free agency, the Cleveland Browns should at least give a look into signing the 9-time pro-bowler.

When free agency officially opens up at 4pm ET on March 18th, 9-time pro-bowler Jason Peters will officially be hitting the market after spending over a decade with the Eagles.

Without a doubt, the Cleveland Browns need tons of help on the offensive line. While Jason Peters may be 38 years old, if the Browns can pick him up for a reasonable price, there is no reason not to at least show interest in the guy.

Peters played in 13 games last season, while missing three games due to small knee procedure in the middle of the season. Since coming into the league in 2004, Peters has appeared in at least 13 games per season in all but two, those seasons being his rookie year in 2004 as well as in 2017.

With Peters being as seasoned as he is, he can still without a doubt produce in multiple ways for this Browns organization.

The window for the Cleveland Browns is now. As weird as it sounds, it is the truth. In 3-4 years, having the loads of talent that they currently have on both sides of the ball is very unlikely. As we all know, looking good on paper does next to nothing for a team to have success on the field. With that being said, bringing Peters in to mentor and teach a young tackle the Browns draft (if they go that route, of course) would do wonders for that tackle.

The Browns could also look to bring Peters in to produce at the high level of production that he has been producing at his whole career. Again, the window for the Browns to finally make a run at things is now. In 2019, Peters earned the 6th overall tackle grade from Pro Football Focus in 2019.

Without a doubt, the Browns are going to address the offensive line this offseason, whether it be from free agency of the draft.

With Peters having the potential to be able to help in multiple ways, bringing him in could help bring that veteran experience to help a lot of these young guys on the roster.
