This time the team is taking a more analytical approach and will be trying to balance the budget, an approach not taken by the previous regime. In doing so, the Browns will likely try to rebuild more through the draft and less through trades and free agency. However, the team should still be in a win-now mode.

If they are looking to win now and now wait to develop draft picks, they could go after some veteran NFL free agents who have experience in winning cultures as short term options as starters. This could lead the team to run back into some former Browns players whose talents were either underutilized or underappreciated here in Cleveland their first time around.

Seeing some of these guys back in Browns uniforms may be weird, but the team and fan base should definitely be open to any returns in 2020, especially if they would be beneficial to the team.
