No. 3: Darron Lee, LB

Even with the linebacker position being one that the Browns are currently very thin at, bringing in Darron Lee should be one of the last moves the Browns consider. Instead, there are better options that fit what they need.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Lee has spent four years in the  NFL, three with the New York Jets and one with the Kansas City Chiefs. In what was by far his best year in 2018, Lee recorded 74 combined tackles to go along with three interceptions, one of them being a pick-six.

Last season with the Chiefs, Lee only recorded 31 combined tackles and had zeros in the sack category as well as the interception category.

While Lee is only 25 years old, there are plenty of names ahead of him in this year’s linebacker free agency class that would all be worth the money over Lee.

When Lee was with the Jets, he averaged about 80 tackles per season over those three years. With his 31 tackles last year, it is a big drop off.

Lee also only played 161 snaps last season, meaning he could not be ready for the workload the Browns would need out of him. With all of the other linebackers available this year, it is definitely best to stay away from Lee and look elsewhere to get the right linebacker.
