3. Ozzie Newsome, Tight end

Ozzie Newsome was a tight end selected 23rd overall in the 1978 NFL draft. Between he and previously mentioned Clay Matthews Jr., this was a tremendous draft for the Cleveland Browns.

Newsome played his entire 13-year career with the Browns from 1978 to 1990. He eclipsed a thousand yards twice and five touchdowns five times. He played in 10 playoff games as well with Cleveland.

Newsome is considered one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. He was a Pro Bowler three times and an All-pro once. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

He had 7,980 career receiving yards and 662 receptions. Both of these stats are Cleveland Browns receiving records. He also had 191 receiving yards in a game for the Browns.

He ranks sixth in both receptions and yards all-time amongst tight ends. He only trails other legends, Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates, Shannon Sharpe, and Greg Olson.

Newsome is truly one of the greatest Cleveland Browns. He helped mold the style of the new tight ends with more receptions and yards. Ozzie Newsome would be higher on this list, except the two that follow are hard to beat.
