Sheldon Richardson, Defensive Tackle

The man who came out openly last season and said he does not want to keep moving around the NFL just might be on the move if he does not improve his play this year. Sheldon Richardson was graded as the 25th best interior defender in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

Richardson is rather overpaid for his production so far in his career. One solid season several years ago doesn’t mean he can find that production again. Richardson needs to have a good season in order to stay off the trade block and potentially re-sign on a cheaper deal in Cleveland. Being 29-years-old, he still has plenty of time left to make an impact for a team in the NFL.

If Richardson comes out this season and makes his $12 million that he’s signed to worth it, Cleveland should look to re-sign him and keep that high-level production and veteran presence intact on an overall young team.

If he wants to stay put for the rest of his career, Richardson needs to have a career year with the Cleveland Browns. He has the ability to set himself above the majority in the NFL, let’s see if the not so toxic coaching staff assists him in better overall play.
