Remaining free agents the Cleveland Browns should consider
By Greg Newland
3. Nigel Bradham – Linebacker
The Browns will be active in the draft for a young linebacker, but don’t be surprised to see them add another piece before the end of free agency. Nigel Bradham who played his last four seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles would be a familiar face for Andrew Berry.

Bradham signed a five-year, $40 million contract with $14 million of guaranteed money before the 2018 season. Bradham played well in 2018 after being suspended the first game of the year for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. In 15 starts Bradham has 97 tackles, four quarterback hits, and one fumble recovery.
In 2019 Bradham’s numbers were down with only 61 tackles in 12 games after being limited by an ankle injury. After the 2019 season, the Eagles declined Bradham’s contract option and later released him. Keep in mind fans, Bradham had the best portion of his season after returning from the ankle injury.
The Browns currently have Mack Wilson, Sione Takitaki and B.J. Goodson on the roster and will likely look to draft another linebacker in the 2020 NFL Draft. Bradham would bring experience and leadership to the locker room and will help to continue the development of younger talent.
At age 30, Bradham will likely want something more than a one-year deal, but at the right price, it is worth the risk for a two to three-year offer. Goodson appears to be a solid run-stopper, but the Browns will need coverage help which Bradham could bring.
