The Cleveland Browns could do several things with the 10th overall pick. They could play the analytics card and move down, gathering more picks to get more players to bolster their roster. They could also move up and be aggressive in their pursuit of a particular player they feel is worth it.

However you look at it, the best bet is to stay put and fill the team’s biggest void with the 10th overall pick. Analytically, you don’t want to miss out on one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the draft, a plug and play type of player, and aggressively, you don’t need to move up to get one of the best four offensive lineman in this years class.

At least one of the four will be there for you, and in this scenario, Andrew Thomas is.

Thomas is an all-around great left tackle. He is powerful in both run and pass blocking, and has imposing size and power that he knows how to use exceptionally well. Thomas rarely loses in a one on one strength battle, but if he gets beat on speed, he can occasionally stumble and not catch up on the outside.

Thomas would be great in Cleveland as Stefanski’s offense is heavily predicated on power running and quicker passing. Any weakness in Thomas’ game can also be cleaned up by one of the best offensive line coaches in the league in Bill Callahan.

With the right side of the offensive line already solidified by the signing of Jack Conklin, and the selection of Andrew Thomas in the first round, the Cleveland Browns finally have an offensive line that can protect Baker Mayfield and allow him to prove why he was the number one overall selection in 2018 to the rest of the world.
