The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including how the team has several contract extensions looming in the future.

The Cleveland Browns have quickly built the core of their roster after suffering through a 1-31 stretch in 2016 and 2017. As the organization stockpiled draft capital and young players, those young players have quickly turned into veterans.

Although the Browns have not had the best success on hitting on all of their draft picks, they still have several quality young players still on their rookie deals. However, the Browns are going to have to be prepared to start handing out some money with those rookie deals ending soon.

The Browns have been careful with their cap space because of the team preparing for the large extensions they are going to need to offer in the next few seasons, including Myles Garrett, who is eligible for a contract extension now.

What contract extensions could be on the horizon for the Browns? – Dan Labbe, Cleveland.com

"This is a huge year for Mayfield because if he looks like the quarterback he did at the end of 2018 he’s in line to really help reset the quarterback market. Quarterback money is just different and you don’t have to be at the top of the position to merit a big payday. You just have to show your organization you’re worth the investment."

Although there are several other players needing extensions, Baker Mayfield is going to be one of the most interesting to follow. He seemed like he was ready to lockdown being the team’s franchise quarterback after his rookie year, but his struggles in 2019 has led to uncertainty. How he performs in 2020 could directly impact his potential contract extension and how the Browns feel about him as their franchise quarterback.

Thanks to the Duke Johnson trade before the season started last year, the Browns will have two picks in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Greg Newland looks at three prospects the Browns should consider targeting with the No. 97 pick.

Cleveland Browns uniforms through the years – Ben Axelrod, WKYC.com

"But while the Browns’ uniforms have largely looked the same throughout their history, there have been some changes made along the way. With that in mind, let’s take a look at back at the Browns uniforms throughout the years, which may ultimately serve as a preview of they’ll once again be wearing moving forward."

With the Cleveland Browns prepared to release their new uniforms on Wednesday, the organization has teased that the uniforms will not be so new after all. The Browns have said they wanted to go back to their roots, so the new uniforms could end up looking like the uniforms the Browns donned in the 1980’s. For a historic franchise, it would be great for the organization to go back to its traditional roots.

Browns passing on an offensive tackle at No. 10 would be a risk

The Browns have been penciled in to select an offensive tackle with their first round pick for several months. However, there has been some noise recently they could decide to wait to find their next left tackle, but doing so would be a major risk.
