Although Odell Beckham Jr. had a slightly down year in 2019, Browns fans should have plenty of reasons to believe he will come back for an incredible 2020.

It is no secret that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had a disappointing season. Fans are accustomed to seeing Beckham Jr. make tremendous plays and rack up far more touchdowns and receiving yards than he did in 2019. Especially with all of the hype heading into last season, it was a letdown for the Cleveland and the fans.

Despite not having a season that everyone expected or wished to see, Beckham Jr. still had a good season statistically for most receivers. He finished the 2019 campaign with 1,035 receiving yards on 74 receptions and added four touchdowns.

To OBJ’s standards, of course, those are not overwhelming numbers. But despite the several struggles in 2019 for the team and Beckham Jr., those are still respectable statistics.

Browns fans should still be ecstatic to have a player of OBJ’s talent on the roster. Players like these do not come around often, and very rarely to Cleveland. He has the talent and the numbers thus far in his career to perhaps go down as one of the greatest receivers ever.

The Browns need Odell Beckham Jr. to be his best self this year for the team to have a break out year. They are heading into the heart of the offseason with hopes of ending a 17-year playoff drought. The Browns have addressed issues all over the roster and front office.

Beckham Jr. is a focal point for this team and this offense, and he will be a big component of the success this year. There are reasons that may explain why he had a tough last season, and why 2020 can be a huge year for the Cleveland star. Let’s dive into these in further detail.
