I know Browns fans will hate this for a couple different reasons. One, most Browns fans are also Ohio State Buckeye fans and this guy comes from their biggest rival. Two, it’s easy to look at the Browns roster and question why they would need to take a receiver so early with both Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham on the roster.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

With a tremendous amount of young talent on the Browns roster, it won’t be long before a luxury like having two $15 million per year wide receivers is no longer feasible. With Landry and Beckham on the back end of their careers, a player like Donovan Peoples-Jones from Michigan could be a perfect replacement.

Peoples-Jones came to the University of Michigan after winning the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year award in Michigan, as well as the all-city 100-meter dash champion.

The five-star highly coveted recruit never quite lived up to expectations at Michigan. As a sophomore Peoples-Jones started to show promise with 47 receptions and eight touchdowns.

An injury would slow him down and limit his final year at Michigan to only 34 receptions and six touchdowns. It should be noted he was never able to be rival Ohio State either.

At 6-foot-2 People-Jones would be a big target, which would be welcomed by Baker Mayfield in the red zone. Given the depth chart currently, Peoples-Jones would be able to sit a year to continue development which could be beneficial.
