
After an aggressive offseason, the Miami Dolphins will likely be looking for their future quarterback in the 2020 draft. Signs previously pointed towards the Alabama quarterback, experts now believe the Dolphins have Oregon’s Justin Herbert graded higher.

Head coach Brian Flores looks to have the team headed in the right direction if he can find a starting-caliber quarterback. Ryan Fitzpatrick will win you a few games per year but has never been a consistent starter in the NFL.
Josh Rosen who was originally the tenth pick in 2018 didn’t perform well either in 2019 after being traded to the Dolphins so the Arizona Cardinals could draft Kyler Murray last year. Herbert could be set up for early success with the roster in Miami.
If Miami is locked in on one quarterback, they still cold look to swap with the Redskins who could leverage they may look at drafting a quarterback even though they have three potential starters on their roster. If the Dolphins are okay with either Herbert or Tua Tagovailoa, there’s no need to trade up as the Lions and Giants both appear to be set at quarterback with Mathew Stafford and Daniel Jones.
After striking out in free agency for a quarterback, including the pursuit of Hall of Famer Tom Brady, the Los Angeles Chargers will be after a quarterback with the sixth pick. Following 16 years with Phillip Rivers as the field general, the Chargers find themselves very thin at quarterback with Tyrod Taylor as the best available option.
Look for the Chargers to go with the top remaining quarterback prospect Tua Tagovailoa. Let’s not forget Tagovailoa would have likely been the top pick in this year’s draft before a hip injury and the emergence of Joe Burrow. After positive medical feedback recently, the Chargers will be thrilled to land the Alabama quarterback without having to move up in the draft.
