Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. TylerBiadasz. IOL. player. Round 3. Pick 97. 809

The Browns get a second third-round pick from the Houston Texans in the Duke Johnson trade. Because Johnson played in 10 games for the Texans, the pick went from a fourth to a third-rounder for the Browns. Cleveland will use this selection to take Tyler Biadasz from Wisconsin who is one of the higher-ranked interior linemen in this year’s draft.

Biadasz started for three years for Wisconsin and was a huge part of their success running the football with Jonathan Taylor. He played center for the Badgers but scouts believe he can make the switch to guard at the NFL level without much stress. He has the size to play any interior position at 6-foot-4 314 pounds.

The Browns need a solution at their right guard spot. As of now, the front office has some belief in guys like Wyatt Teller or Drew Forbes to play right guard and have some success, but it is yet to be proven that they are the long term answer. Taking Biadasz here gives the Browns another solid player that can add competition to the room and give Cleveland a better chance to find a quality player for right guard.

Biadasz can develop and learn from guys like Joel Bitonio, J.C. Tretter and Jack Conklin. He comes from an offensive linemen powerhouse in Wisconsin that has produced fantastic NFL linemen like our very own Joe Thomas.

If Biadasz can come in and learn the ropes from our veterans and new line coach Bill Callahan, who has had great success developing players in the NFL, then he can be a great player for the interior of this Browns line. He is a solid selection here in the late third round.
