TRADE – Jacksonville Jaguars from Los Angeles Rams
Within two years the Jacksonville Jaguars have gone from a lockdown defense that started with two tremendous corners, to a team that is drafting in the top 10. This pick is in exchange for cornerback Jalen Ramsey who was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams last season.
Kristian Fulton from LSU had a strong senior season which jumped him to the first round after winning a National Championship in 2019. Fulton would be a great pick by the Jaguars but would be put in a tough situation getting compared to Ramsey constantly. Fulton should hold up well in the NFL with size and length along with being tested by some of the most talented receivers in the SEC.
Carson Wentz is desperate for receiver help and the Philadelphia Eagles could address this by drafting Denzel Mims, the wide receiver from Baylor. Mims comes from a football family and could post tremendous stats early as he is a big-time red-zone target at six-feet three-inches tall.
Mims will have to work on his release from press coverage and route-running skills, but his athleticism and coaching should help him overcome. Mims could be set up for success with a tremendous quarterback in Wentz.
TRADE – Minnesota Vikings from Buffalo Bills
After trading Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills for this pick, look for the Vikings to take a receiver to help fill the void. Justin Jefferson could be the perfect interior fit with Adam Thielen on the outside. Jefferson, a wide receiver from LSU had a stellar senior year with Joe Burrow and continued to turn scouts’ heads at the combine.
Jefferson has a knack for finding holes in zone coverage which would also pair well with quarterback Kirk Cousins. Although Diggs was a tremendous talent, the Vikings could be upgrading with Jefferson when you factor in off-field antics.
