Cleveland Browns draft day 7 round mock draft
The 2020 NFL Draft looms large over the football landscape, and with no other sports on, is bound to draw huge ratings. What can Cleveland Browns fans expect from their team on Thursday night?
If new general manager Andrew Berry hasn’t fully taken the reigns as the Cleveland Browns leading man yet, he’ll certainly have his chance on Thursday night. The 2020 NFL Draft will certainly be the biggest sports event of the month, as it is every year, and with a top ten pick in their possession, every Browns fan should be tuning in.
After falling short of their expectations last year at 6-10, the Browns are flying under the radar this offseason (as much as a team led by Baker Mayfield can fly under the radar). Despite the additions of tight end Austin Hooper and right tackle Jack Conklin in free agency, the Browns still have some holes to fill around the roster.
Thankfully, there aren’t as many holes as there were to start the offseason as Berry was incredibly aggressive, which holds well for the team’s outlook this season. However, that doesn’t mean the work is done.
To succeed in 2020, the Browns need to shore up their offensive line, and greatly improve the back end of the defense. If Cleveland can get out of the latter half of the draft with some depth at skill positions, they should be in great shape. Thursday night, the fans will finally know, but until then, this mock draft can be a glimpse into a hopeful future.
