The 2020 NFL Draft is over, and the Cleveland Browns came away with a good haul, but it’s never to early to look to the future. Who should Browns fans be keeping their eye on this time next year?

Depending on who you ask, Cleveland Browns rookie general manager Andrew Berry did anywhere from “pretty good” to “absolutely fantastic” during his first NFL Draft. Berry, alongside Paul DePodesta, met every major need for Cleveland’s roster at some point during the first two nights of the draft.

The Browns shored up their line with Jedrick Wills at left tackle, took Grant Delpit at safety in the second round, and grabbed defensive tackle Jordan Elliott and linebacker Jacob Phillips in the third. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has some tremendous weapons at his disposal, and the defensive style looks to be “fly around the field and hit really hard” under new defensive coordinator Joe Woods.

The Browns have a very balanced roster that should be set up for some success in 2020. With a completely reshaped offensive line, Nick Chubb should have an even easier time running the football. Not to mention the pass protection Baker Mayfield will have in throwing to Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and now Donovan Peoples-Jones.

But no team is perfect, and the Browns will always have next year if 2020 doesn’t work out. It’s never too early for the Browns to look towards the future, especially with a 2021 first-round pick still at their disposal.

The NFL is always bringing in new talent, and these are three prospects the Browns can already be looking for in 2021.
