Joe Thomas takes the crown in Cleveland Browns March Madness style bracket

Without March Madness this season, we at Dawg Pound Daily decided to bring you a Cleveland Browns bracket and Joe Thomas walked away victor of the 64-man bracket
Sports fans were without March Madness this season as the NCAA Basketball Tournament was halted due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Without the fun of watching our brackets fall apart, we here at Dawg Pound Daily decided to start up our own 64-man Cleveland Browns player bracket.
Our very own Mitch Zoloty worked hard to set up the brackets, which started with players seeded 1-16 from different eras. There was the 1946-1974 era, 1975-1995, 1999-2009, and 2010-2019.
In the end, none other than Joe Thomas remained standing at the end of the tournament. The former iron man left tackle took on franchise rushing leader Jim Brown and won with 54 percent of the votes.
There were not many upsets throughout the tournament, a testament to the seeding by Mitch. One early was 12 seed Dante Lavelli upsetting 5 seed Dick Schafrath with 59.3 percent of the votes. Running back Peyton Hillis was another 12 seed that knocked off a 5 seed in Round 1, taking out wide receiver Josh Gordon with 55.7 percent of the votes.
In the final four, there were two one seeds in Brown and Thomas as well as 4 seed Bernie Kosar — who battled Brown — and 3 seed Myles Garrett who faced off with Thomas.
The fan engagement was a lot of fun and this is something we look forward to doing again in the future. A big shout out to the readers and we encourage you to keep the conversation going in the comment section below.
