With the Cleveland Browns continuing to add more and more pieces to their roster, adding Jadeveon Clowney could be the last piece of the puzzle.

As the virtual offseason kickstarts with the draft officially ending, it is time for teams across the league to get to work and start to grind through the summer as the new season gets closer and closer. For the Cleveland Browns, they will have a lot of new faces heading into the building once everything can get back to normal. One more new face fans and the organization shouldn’t close the door on just yet? Jadeveon Clowney.

Taking a look on the defensive side of the ball for the Browns, it is not like the offense. One can make a very solid argument that the Browns have zero holes left on the offensive side of the ball, putting trust in the fact that Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills will workout for that offensive line.

Going back to the defense, they still have holes to fill. Although they addressed most positions in the draft with a very solid 2020 draft class, it absolutely cannot hurt to add proven talent to your roster. If the Browns added Clowney, how would him playing alongside Myles Garrett possibly be stopped?

Even after all the money the Browns have spent this offseason, they still have the most cap space across the league. On top of that, they could easily cut Olivier Vernon, who is set to earn $15 million this season (all not guaranteed), and only use an extra two or three million dollars for Clowney.

While having no medicals may make things a bit tough, it is nothing that should stop the Browns from signing the 27-year old former first overall pick.

Clowney had 18.5 sacks over 2017-2018 with the Texans, as well as three sacks last year with the Seahawks to go along with one interception. Keep in mind, if Clowney were to come to Cleveland, again he would have Garrett alongside, taking tons of pressure off Clowney, making it a scary, scary sight.

Again, with the Browns having all of the cap space in the world and having the option to let Vernon go, which has been rumored a lot this offseason, they sit in a very good spot and would be silly not to make one last push in the final Clowney sweepstakes.
