The new regime with the Cleveland Browns has already been making waves with their series of moves this offseason. They addressed several needs in free agency and followed that up by drafting what many see as one of the top draft classes in the NFL.

It has not been easy for the new Browns regime, as they were tasked with several tough decisions throughout the offseason. However, as head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry continue to say, some decisions are more hyped by the outsiders compared to those inside the building.

Two of the biggest questions that have been asked throughout this offseason have been what is David Njoku‘s future with the team and will the organization re-sign wide receiver Rashard Higgins? But in the past few days, both of those questions have been answered.

A new/old theme for Cleveland Browns: Second chances for Rashard Higgins & David Njoku – Terry Pluto, Plain Dealer

"Njoku is only 23. The Browns picked up his option for 2021, meaning they have him under control for two years. It is a vote of confidence in the University of Miami product. A day later, they signed Higgins. For both players, it’s a fresh start with a new/old front office that never lost faith in them."

Had John Dorsey and Freddie Kitchens remained in charge following the 2019 season, there was no doubt Njoku and Higgins would not have been on Cleveland’s 2020 roster. However, the new front office is willing to see if both players can rebound after having poor seasons in 2019.

Browns extend David Njoku, commit to multiple tight ends

Even after selecting a tight end in the 2020 Draft, the Browns picked up Njoku’s fifth-year option and could look to sign him to a second contract. Elliot Kennel discusses Cleveland’s commitment to using multiple tight ends.

Berry sees Beckham as ‘long-term member’ of Browns – Nick Shook, NFL.com

"With the latest round of Beckham trade rumors fizzling with the completion of the 2020 NFL Draft, Browns general manager Andrew Berry took the faceless antagonist to task — even if he felt like he was repeating himself at this point — in answering a Beckham-related question during a Wednesday appearance on Good Morning Football."

The trade rumors have not stopped swirling around Odell Beckham, even though the Browns have continually said they have no plans to trade the star wide receiver. It seems like it has finally reached the point for Berry that he has to make it extremely clear that Beckham will be a Brown for the next few years.
