As the Cleveland Browns embark on the 2020 campaign, it is extremely important they win this one game.
Let’s just face reality here. Every single game in the NFL is important. With only 16 regular season games to prove you are playoff worthy, the Cleveland Browns must be prepared every single time they walk out on the field. And that was not the case last season under head coach Freddie Kitchens.
Newly appointed head coach Kevin Stefanski hopes to change that narrative. This roster is much deeper than it was a season ago and should be able to withstand injuries better. But as we inch closer to training camp, there’s one game that should be circled on Cleveland’s schedule as a must win.
Sunday October 18 in Pittsburgh, the Browns have a chance to become a legitimate playoff contender. The first five weeks of the season contains two games that should be wins, and three games that will be difficult.

Week 6 is a chance for the Browns to win and turn the corner as a franchise. It’s a chance stick it to Big Ben Roethlisberger for his dominance over Cleveland for nearly two decades. It’s also a chance for Myles Garrett to right the wrong he did last season, which led to a miserable stretch run for the Browns.
This is a game the Browns need for the psyche of the franchise. We thought last season was our year, but alas the Browns screwed it up…again.
Beating Mason Rudolph is one thing, but beating Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh would give Cleveland a massive momentum boost for the rest of the season.
There are easier games on the Browns schedule, games they need to win. But this game counts for so much more. To finally be able to turn the tide against Pittsburgh should be at the forefront of every Browns players’ mind on that day.
