John Dorsey’s legacy of undrafted Cleveland Browns players
Dorsey UDFA’s who are longshots
Continuing from the previous page, the remainder of John Dorsey’s undrafted free agents and low-budget recycled veterans are considered longshots to make the team this year.
11. Pharaoh Brown, Tight End
Pharaoh Brown looked good at times as a blocking tight end but fell behind young Stephen Carlson last year. The addition of Austin Hooper and expected rehabilitation of David Njoku means Brown needs to convince coach Stefanski to carry four tight ends again this year.
12. Trevon Young, EDGE
Defensive end Trevon Young is a long shot, however, his 10-yard split time of 1.62 seconds was a hair faster than Myles Garrett. Holy cow. The buzz on him, however, is that he has been slowed by a hip injury, and may not be completely back.

13. Eli Ankou, Defensive Tackle
Defensive tackle Eli Ankou started two games for the Browns last year as injuries hit the defensive line. He has bounced around the league since 2017 and was not graded highly by PFF. A longshot to make the team.
14. Justin Zimmer, Defensive Tackle
Defensive tackle Justin Zimmer made a cameo appearance for the Browns last season, playing in two games in December. But he posted five tackles including one for a loss. He and Ankou were graded about the same by PFF.
15. Tae Davis, Linebacker
Linebacker Tae Davis received toxic grades from Pro Football Focus, although he did show some promise as a pass rusher.
16. Colby Gossett, Guard
Guard Colby Gossett was picked up after being cut by New England. Gossett has four NFL starts under his belt while with Arizona. He also allowed five sacks during that time, which is why he did not stick. But the big fellow, all 6-foot-5 and 331 pounds of him, also was impressive at times, so maybe he can recover.
17. Malcolm Pridgeon, Guard
Malcolm Pridgeon is an inch taller than Gossett and also weighs in at 331 pounds. He didn’t give up many sacks at Ohio State, but he is not fast and did not even receive a Combine invitation.
18. Willie Wright, Offensive Lineman
Center Willie Wright is a converted tackle from the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes, where he played tackle. But at 6-3 and 300 pounds, he is a better fit at center. Unfortunately, J.C. Tretter and Nick Harris can play center, and Charlie Hughlett seems to be a fixture as the long snapper. The roster does not favor a second-string center this year.
