The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know

It’s a solid sign for the Cleveland Browns that Baker Mayfield has been incredibly quiet this offseason. It’s no secret that 2019 wasn’t what he expected from himself and now instead of making headlines, he’s been putting in work behind the scenes.

Mayfield addressed that recently in a Zoom call with members of the Browns media. He spoke on who he has been silent this offseason among many other things.

The third-year quarterback also touched on his new coach and what he expects this season to be like for him and some of his high-profile teammates, such as Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry.

Baker Mayfield buying into Kevin Stefanski’s program, Joe Woods open-minded at LB, other Browns takeaways — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“Baker Mayfield’s revelation on a Zoom call with Browns media this week that he’s “moving in silence” this offseason is a sign that he’s buying into Kevin Stefanski’s program and has faith in the coaching staff.”"

Often outspoken, Mayfield has been rather quiet this offseason and has said very little about Stefanski’s hiring. This was one of the few times he has opened up about the new staff and how he feels about them.

3 Free agent linebackers Cleveland Browns could sign once training camp begins

Cleveland has some concerns at linebacker but they seem content to roll with the players they have. However, should they get to training camp and decide they need help, these three names could offer them that.

Brady Quinn: Baker Mayfield will be a top 10 QB in 2020 and ‘playoffs this year, baby’ — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“I think he’s going to have kind of a breakout year,’’ Quinn told cleveland.com. “I don’t know if you’d consider his rookie year kind of that, considering he set the rookie quarterback touchdown record, but I really do feel like this year is going to be a big jump for him. In watching him last year, he didn’t play as well as he needed to, but it was also a lot of things around him. So I’m kind of looking for that jump, not only for him but from the entire team because he’s going to have a better offensive line, a better running game [and more].’’"

A former Cleveland Browns quarterback, Brady Quinn now works as an NFL Analyst and seems to be high on the team’s prospects this season with their new staff. The biggest factor will be whether or not Mayfield does take the next step as a passer. If so, they could be contenders. If not, this could be another long season.
