The Cleveland Browns over/under win prediction is 8.5 and this is why we should pick the over
It’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t really liked the work done this offseason by the Cleveland Browns. Despite having a rookie head coach in Kevin Stefanski and rookie general manager in Andrew Berry, they’ve made some impressive moves.
Signing right tackle Jack Conklin and tight end Austin Hooper in free agency proved Berry can bring big talent to Cleveland. He then showed he knows how to handle himself in the draft, landing Jedrick Wills and Grant Delpit with his first two picks.
All these additions to a team that already had Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Myles Garrett, and Odell Beckham — just to name a few stars — have expectations higher than ever. And according to Cody Williams of NFL Spin Zone, they should exceed those hopes.

Looking at all 32 teams predicted win totals this season, Williams gives his reason for taking the over or under, and for Cleveland and their 8.5 win prediction from The Action Network, he’s all in on the over.
"“Cleveland Browns – 8.5 WinsThe 2020 offseason feels like everyone is mad at the Cleveland Browns and, well, it’s not hard to see why. So many people bought into the hype for Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr. and so on last season and Freddie Kitchens then helmed an unmitigated disaster. But now that Kevin Stefanski is taking over for Kitchens and with the offensive line improved, I think the Browns prove to be a team that the public was simply a year early on crowning. Prediction: Over” — Williams, NFL Spin Zone"
Should they be able to secure at least nine victories, it would give the franchise just their third winning season since 1999, and fans have to believe this is the season they finally get to taste another of those elusive winning campaigns.
As exciting as this is, there’s still plenty to worry about this season for the Browns, and Williams’ piece highlights that as well. In this same article, he takes the over on the Baltimore Ravens prediction of 11.5 as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers 9.5 mark.
Only the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to have a winning season here as he took the under on their 5.5 prediction as they work in a rookie quarterback in Joe Burrow.
Suddenly, the AFC North seems pretty stacked so the road won’t be easy for the Browns, even if they have a winning campaign.
Having said that, it’s hard to argue with taking the over for Cleveland. Kevin Stefanski instills confidence and the changes made by Andrew Berry have been universally loved. Now, we just need to see it all come together on the field.
